Following 2017’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and 2016’s sell-out Cats, the multi award-winning CCADS Theatre return to The Kings Theatre to bring this fantastic, family-friendly musical adventure to Portsmouth for the very first time!

Based on the much-loved 1968 film, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary and based on Ian Fleming’s children’s book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a ‘Truly Scrumptious’ blockbuster which promises to delight audiences of all ages.

When eccentric inventor Caractus Potts and his children restore an old race car, little do they know that she is the magical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious to rescue the children of Vulgaria from the evil Child-Catcher and to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness – who covet Chitty for themselves. Will they triumph?! Don’t miss your chance to find out…!

Filled with amazing stage spectacle including the high-flying car herself and unforgettable songs by the Sherman Brothers - including the Academy Award-nominated title song along with Toot Sweets, Me Ol’ Bamboo, Hushabye Mountain and many more - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, is a fantasmagorical, fun-filled, simply unmissable stage experience. Book early to avoid disappointment!
